West Drayton is mainly a house market with a large and growing flats sector. Much of it is interwar and post-war — semis and terraces, a good deal of it built by the local authority — with period housing around The Green conservation area and its listed buildings. The big change is new-build: Drayton Garden Village, on the former RAF West Drayton site, and a run of canal-side and waterside apartment schemes near the station and the Grand Union Canal.
