About Dan

Dan Knowles is the founder and Managing Director of Websters Surveyors, which he established in 2013 and has grown into one of the largest and most experienced residential surveying and valuation teams in London.

A Chartered Surveyor since 2009 and an RICS Registered Valuer, Dan has personally been involved in well over a thousand valuation reports — from small flats to multi-interest freeholds, and from individual retail units to large industrial premises.

In recognition of his experience and influence, Dan has been awarded Fellowship of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS) — an accolade reserved for the most experienced and respected surveyors in their field. He also sits on an RICS Expert panel and has co-authored an RICS guide.

Dan is a familiar voice in the profession and beyond, having appeared on Sky TV and BBC One and featured on many property podcasts, as well as hosting one for the RICS. He is the driving force behind much of Websters' digital content, with a particular focus on making valuation reporting clear, accessible and genuinely useful to the people who rely on it.

One of the achievements Dan is proudest of is establishing the firm's charitable arm, which has now donated close to £30,000.

Outside work, much of Dan's life revolves around his two young sons — so he's often found at a local park, farm or skatepark. When he gets time to himself, he's a keen photographer, a lover of West End theatre and a long-suffering Wolves fan.
