Where we work
RICS chartered surveyors and registered valuers across London and the Home Counties. Choose your region below for the towns we cover, the local housing stock and what our surveyors look for there — or just send us the postcode and we’ll tell you straight away.
Which area are you in?
We cover London and four Home Counties in depth, with surveyors who know each market rather than a national call centre pushing work to whoever is nearest. Pick your region below, then your town, for the detail: the housing stock, the ground conditions, the local risks and what we actually look for. If your address falls outside these areas, say so anyway — we take work further afield selectively and we will give you a straight answer either way.
Our regions
Each region has its own hub, with a page for every town we cover.

Not all ground is the same ground
The same crack means different things
A diagonal crack on London Clay near a mature tree is a different problem from the same crack on Bagshot sand, chalk downland or Thames river gravel. That is why each of our area pages sets out the ground beneath it — and why we read what we find against the geology the house actually stands on rather than applying a blanket answer.
Flood is a postcode question, not a town question
Whether flood risk matters turns on the exact address, not the town name. Riverside Staines and higher-ground Epping are both in our patch and could hardly be more different. Our area pages say where the real risk lies — and where it does not.
Local stock, local defects
Solid concrete floors in Slough. Plotland self-builds in Wickford. Steel-framed bungalows in Chesham. System-built ex-council housing across outer London. Each area has its own recurring defects, and knowing them before we arrive is the difference between a survey and a checklist.
We say the awkward things
Aircraft noise in Isleworth. Mogden sewage works. Subsidence risk well above the national average in parts of Surrey. These affect value and resale, and we would rather tell you before you buy than have you discover it afterwards.
Areas we cover
Do you cover my area?
We cover London, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex and Surrey in depth — pick your region above to find your town. Beyond those counties we take on work selectively; send us the postcode and the type of property and we will tell you honestly whether we can cover it, what it would cost and when we could inspect.
Will a surveyor who knows the area actually inspect my property?
Yes. When you instruct us, an RICS surveyor who knows the local market inspects the property, writes the report, and is available to talk it through with you afterwards. You will not be passed to a call centre.
How quickly can you inspect?
Usually within a few working days, and often sooner. Tell us the address and the report you need and we will confirm availability when we quote.
How much does it cost?
Fees depend on the property and the area. Each area page shows the starting fees for that area, and we give a fixed quote once we know the property.
