Getting a Home Survey done is a highly advisable service when buying a property. If you’re buying with a mortgage, the lender may not have even had someone inspect the property. If they have, it may have only been for a basic valuation. Even in the event that a full Level 3 Building Survey (formerly known as a Structural Survey) was carried out, you might not receive a copy of it and the duty of care of the Surveyor rests firmly with the lender.

We provide Home Surveys across London and surrounding areas, carried out by highly experienced Chartered Surveyors with a duty of care purely to whoever is appointing us. Once you’ve seen the property health check, you can consider whether the proceed with your purchase, request that the seller undertakes repairs or withdraw from the purchase.

A Market Valuation is a professional assessment of the value of a property at a specified valuation date. These types of valuations are undertaken by a members of the Royal institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

This type of report is not a survey and any mention of defects are stated insofar as they affect the valuers opinion of Market Value.

At Websters Surveyors our team of experienced Chartered Surveyors and RICS Registered Valuers have undertaken thousands of market valuations for an array of purposes. These include valuations for tax purposes, matrimonial disputes, share ownership staircasing and help to buy loan repayments purposes.

All of our qualified Surveyors are also RICS Registered Valuers, meaning that they have proven competence in Red Book Valuations to our regulatory body.
