Not only are all of our RICS surveyors qualified as either Chartered Surveyors or AssocRICS (both RICS Surveyor qualifications) but are also RICS Registered Valuers, meaning that they have proven competence in Red Book Valuations.

The RICS Red Book is a combination of two documents, namely: 

1) The RICS Valuation – Global Standards – which contains mandatory rules, best practice guidance and related commentary for all members undertaking asset valuations

2) The UK National Supplement is a specific complimentary edition which ensures compliance with UK specific regulations and practice.

Compliance with the Red Book ensures the gold standard of reporting. It provides for detailed minimum standards that need to be met, giving clients the reassurance that their report includes an adequate level of detail but also meets any regulatory or statutory requirements. For example, these include those set by HMRC for Statutory Valuations for Capital Gains Tax or Inheritance Tax (for probate).
