A leaseholder of a maisonette in Northolt was requiring advice on the best approach to deal with their shortening lease. Our chartered surveyors undertook an inspection of the property and advised that serving a section 42 notice would be the best option.

The property industry is moving towards specialist areas. Going back a number of years ago, many Chartered Surveyors would provide a valuation of a shop on a Monday, a house on a Tuesday, provide a survey on a Wednesday, a statutory report on a Thursday before advising on encroachment issues or something else on a Friday. Those days are thankfully now behind us. 

Each of our Surveyors is a specialist in a limited number of areas. We prefer to know a few things very well than scape a standard service on many areas. If you’re being represented by Websters Surveyors, you can rest assured that the Surveyor or Valuer you’re talking to has had similar conversations most days of the week. 

All of our Surveyors are members of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) who are our regulatory body and whose rules we follow closely, ensuring best practice is adhered to.

Our team is headed by two Directors, Richard Stacey and Dan Knowles and is supported by other Chartered Surveyors, AssocRICS Surveyors, Graduate Surveyors and an Office Manager.

Richard is a Chartered Surveyor and an RICS Registered Valuer. He has specialised in residential property for over 20 years, with previous roles and responsibilities including time with the Thamesview group, Brendons and Buntings Surveyors and as a former Director of The Chambers Property Group.

Richard has undertaken large volumes of valuation and survey work including complex Leasehold Reform (extensions and enfranchisement) and a range of other valuations including for matrimonial, taxation and shared ownership purposes. This includes negotiating settlements and preparing expert reports for Tribunal and Court purposes.

Outside of work, Richard tries to keep fit and healthy and enjoys quality family time.

Dan has been a Chartered Surveyor for over ten years and founded Websters Surveyors. He has been involved with over a thousand Valuation reports ranging from small flats to multi interest freeholds and from small retail units to massive industrial sheds. Dan is an RICS Registered Valuer. One of Dan’s proudest achievements is setting up our charitable arm which has already made donations totalling more than £20,000.

Outside of work, Dan is a family man with a wife and two young sons. His hobbies include playing football, theatre and any walks that end up in a country pub for lunch.
