What is an RICS Home Survey?
An RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) Home Survey is a detailed report of a properties condition. Each report describe the construction of the property and identify problems that need urgent attention or which are serious. Level 1 reports offer the least amount of detail whilst Level 3 reports offer the most.
It is primarily concerned about the condition the property. Such as is it structurally sound? Are there problems in the roof void that you might not have seen during your viewing? Has the internal alteration or extension been carried out in compliance with building regulations?
