Valuations for Charities

Having donated £tens of thousand to deserving charities ourselves over the years, we’ve got to know many of them and learned about the challenges they face on a daily basis. One of these of course is being able to afford to maintain their service. That’s why we’re proud to support a number of them with our own charitable donations.

Every now and then, trustees of Charities require Valuation advice when buying, selling or managing property assets. The Charities Act 2011 is quite particular here in it’s requirements for Charities to be taking advice from a Chartered Surveyor.

The Charities Commission recommendations in CC33 paragraph 2.2 provides that trustees should in specified circumstances appoint a qualified Surveyor. Section 119 of the Charities Act 2011 which concerns selling a property owned by a charity, also requires trustees to appoint a qualified Surveyor.

Websters Surveyors meet the definition of a qualified Surveyor under both the Act of Parliament and Charities commission recommendation.

Our Valuation reports also comply with the RICS Valuation – Global Standards and the UK National supplement, known as the RICS Red Book.

Once instructed to carry out a Valuation, we are normally able to provide our report within a week and can often, if necessary meet tighter deadlines where required.

At Websters, we are Chartered Surveyors, regulated by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Our services span most of London and some surrounding areas including Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex and parts of Surrey and Sussex.

Please contact us if you would like to discuss your requirements on 020 8017 1943.
