We can’t do everything and we readily accept that. What we do, we try to well and what we can’t do, we’ll be honest with you and will recommend you to someone who can if possible.
Getting a high quality valuation report or survey is not as easy as it should be. There are many different types of Surveyors out there so we might not necessarily be right for you. For example, specialisms like Rights of Light Surveying and Business rates appears are outside of our expertise. We’ll recommend someone who can help though as we believe we should only work within our competence. That way, you know if we’re providing you with a service, we expect to be able to provide it to a good standard.
We also work alongside lots of other professionals who along with us, form a good team to help you. If you need a lease extension solicitor or someone who can provide inheritance tax advice, conveyancing in your area, mortgage advice or advice on restructuring a property portfolio, we are happy to put you in touch with someone suitable who can help.

We pride ourselves on providing a range of RICS compliant Red Book Valuations.
The RICS Red Book is a combination of two documents –
1) The RICS Valuation – Global Standards
2) The UK specific complimentary edition which is known as the RICS Valuation – Professional Statements. This document ensures compliance with UK specific regulations and practice
So why should you be bothered?
Well, put simply compliance with the Red Book ensures the gold standard of reporting. It provides for detailed minimum standards (which we try to exceed) giving our clients the reassurance that their report is not only to a good degree of detail but also meets any regulatory requirements, such as those laid down by HMRC for Statutory Valuations such as for Capital Gains Tax or Inheritance Tax assessments.

In covering all of London and surrounding areas, we make sure that each Surveyor has a number of areas that they regularly cover. Normally it is somewhere not far away from where they live or grew up in.
Our Surveyors & RICS Registered Valuers get to know an area very well over time, seeing what is selling for how much and what property trends there are. They also get to know some of the local estate agents, local solicitors, local accountants and occasionally other professionals such as mortgage brokers and Town Planners.
By working with a firm who have regional coverage but local knowledge, you’re getting the best of both worlds. We’re able to provide the level of service you’d expect from a regional firm, with wide ranging expertise but the detailed local knowledge that only comes from valuing or surveying properties in the same geographical area time and time again.
