If you commission a Home Survey, what you’re getting is a comprehensive health check on the property you’re considering buying. We’ll let you know what defects we identify such as whether there are structural problems like lintel failure, subsidence and any identification of mould or damp.
It’s much more than that though, a Survey can provide advice on what to do about defects and what the potential costs would be.
A Home Survey makes such that whatever property you are buying, you’re doing so with your eyes open. You can budget for repair costs. You can renegotiate the price if you wish or you can seek to require the seller to undertake repair works before you commit to the sale by exchanging contracts.

In covering all of London and surrounding areas, we make sure that each Surveyor has a number of areas that they regularly cover. Normally it is somewhere not far away from where they live or grew up in.
Our Surveyors & RICS Registered Valuers get to know an area very well over time, seeing what is selling for how much and what property trends there are. They also get to know some of the local estate agents, local solicitors, local accountants and occasionally other professionals such as mortgage brokers and Town Planners.
By working with a firm who have regional coverage but local knowledge, you’re getting the best of both worlds. We’re able to provide the level of service you’d expect from a regional firm, with wide ranging expertise but the detailed local knowledge that only comes from valuing or surveying properties in the same geographical area time and time again.

We are fortunate to have a Director that specialises in Leasehold Reform. Richard Stacey has vast amount of experience in Leasehold Reform and has been able to demonstrate this both through the hundreds of properties he’s dealt with over the years and also at Tribunal.
Leasehold Reform covers both lease extensions and collective enfranchisement. We are proud to offer our services to both Leaseholders and Freeholders. We feel that by acting for both sides we have the ability to understand what arguments put across in negotiations and how to counter the other sides arguments more effectively. This experiences leads to both quicker and more successful outcomes.
Whether you’re looking to explore the formal route or the informal route of lease extension we are to offer both a valuation only service or a valuation and negotiation service. If you are looking at the formal route we can also represent you at Tribunal. It is always our aim to settle the matters outside of Tribunal and as swiftly as possible. Thus allowing your professional fees for the extension to be kept lower/ However where it would financially make sense to see a case through to Tribunal we advise doing so and would give periodic updates so you can track where the matter is.
